Hair removal by laser

Hair removal is most preferred by females who wish to get rid of unwanted hair from their bodies. Hair removal is resorted to for many reasons that could be described as cultural, religious, aesthetic or customary. There are many methods employed for hair removal. Most common are shaving or trimming followed by electrolysis, waxing and threading.

But the latest method employed removes hair permanently from the root.  This is also known as epilation.  Methods that use light or laser are commonly known as laser hair removal. This is a procedure practiced by experienced cosmetic surgeons.

Although new, hair removal using laser is preferred over other procedures since it is more effective and permanent than others. The cost is high but the technique is less trouble some as well. The laser employed selectively targets the dark matter under the skin or melanin and selectively damages it. This is the area that causes hair growth. 

The technology employed by cosmetic surgeon for hair removal by laser is in use since 1997.  Beside hair laser treatment is also employed to remove acne.  In hair removal intense pulsed light is used normally xenon flash lamps. 

Due high effectiveness laser cosmetic surgery is becoming very popular all over the World. The technology finds multiple use in cosmetic surgery clinics. The procedure has replaced many standard techniques so far employed by plastic surgeons.       

The side effects rarely pose any risk itching, redness and can occur at the target area. The laser settings are important in order to minimize discoloration, swelling and infection. Thus laser settings call for an expert cosmetic surgeon.
